Swimming

This summer, we've decided to make it a point to visit the pool on a regular basis. Fortunately for us, Grandaddy and Grammy maintain our own personal pool for us. With travel and a new baby last year, the pool didn't even open, so we are all thrilled to have it open, with a new paint job and all.

For Father's day, we headed over for some pre-dinner swimming. What a great time! Allen wasn't too sure at first, as you can see. After Daddy worked his distracting-magic, he decided the pool was a fun place to be!

We are also so fortunate that a good friend from college is teaching Mitchell and some of his friends to swim. We are halfway through our lesson session and my-goodness do we have a fish in the making. All he wanted to do today was go underwater to get the ball. Of course, Miss Christy won't let him use his swim goggles (or as Mitchell calls them, his field goggles). Even though they don't keep out much water, he kept going under with them.

My memories of summer all revolve around the pool, and Jeremy's too. I hope we can do the same for our boys over the years!
