Saturday was the big first birthday hoedown! Allen loves playing with the Leapfrog Farm magnets so that's what we decided to frame his birthday around. We had a wonderful time with friends and family that gave us great memories for the celebration.
Just before guests arrived, we had to wake Allen from such a peaceful sleep.
He loved playing with the balloons while he ate lunch!
When it came to presents, he wasn't sure what to do. He was much more interested in the toys he could actually see!
So Mitchell and Daddy helped him out.
What's a birthday without cake? This look was priceless, like "what do you want me to do here?" Funny thing, he's had cake and cupcakes before when his daycare friends celebrated birthdays!
Maybe, I'll touch it.

Allen had a wonderful time at his party, and so did we! While we had hoped to have some outside water fun as well, the heat had been brutal all week, so we kept the activities indoors. By the spread of toys and the squeals from the older kids, I'd say they had fun too!
